VIP10 Photo Competition February 2023

Send us a photo of your VIP from any time over the last 10 years to be in with a chance of winning a top prize of £100 or one of ten runner up prizes of £50 in Pets at Home vouchers.

1. Pets at Home Ltd, Epsom Avenue, Stanley Green Trading Estate, Handforth, Cheshire SK9 3RN is the promoter of the VIP 10th Birthday Photo Competition (the “Promoter” and the “Competition” respectively).
2. The following rules apply to your participation in the Competition.
3. By submitting a photo and entering the Competition you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. 
4. Internet access and a valid VIP card number are required to participate. To enter, click on the link and upload a picture of your VIP(s) along with your VIP card number, your VIP's name(s) and click ‘submit’ (‘Entries’). All correctly completed entries will be automatically entered into the Competition.
5. The Competition will open on 1 February 2023 and any valid Entries must be received by the Promoter before midnight on 28 February 2023  (“Closing Date”) to be entered into the Competition.
6. Entry restrictions: The Competition is only open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding colleagues of the Pets at Home family (including but not limited to the Promoter, The Pets at Home Foundation, and the Pets at Home Vet Group) (“Pets at Home Family”).  Entry is limited to one single entry per pet. Duplicate entries will be invalid and a person submitting more than one entry per pet will be disqualified. Entries made via a third party (including by use of an automated service) will not be valid. Entries must be complete and legible. Entries must be your original work and not copied. As entries may be displayed in marketing material which will be in the public domain, entrants must ensure that only suitable material is uploaded. Entries must not contain any material which is defamatory of any person, or is obscene, offensive, discriminatory, illegal, hateful or inflammatory; be threatening, abusive or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety; or be likely to harass, upset, embarrass alarm or annoy any other person. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entry which it considers contravenes these provisions or for any other reason at its absolute discretion.
7. Prizes: Ten shortlisted runner up pets, being one pet per pet type as listed below will be selected out of all valid entries submitted before the relevant Closing Date (the “Runners Up”).

From the Runners Up, one will be selected as the overall winner (the “Overall winner”).  The Promoter will select the Runners Up from all eligible entries submitted before the Closing Date using a computer process that produces verifiably random results. The Promoter will place the Entries of the Runners Up on the Promoter’s Facebook page. The Promoter’s customers will then vote using the “like” reaction and the Entry with the most amount of “likes” will be selected as the Overall Winner.  The Runners Up will each win £50 worth of Pets at Home vouchers and the Overall Winner will win the grand prize of £100 in Pets at Home vouchers (together the “Prizes”).

1. Winner notification: The Runners Up will be notified by email after the Closing Date but in any event, before Friday 3^rd March 2022, and the Overall Winner will be notified by email on Monday 6^th March 2022  (together the “Winners”) and the Winners will be asked to confirm their addresses so that the Prizes can be sent to them (the “Notification”). The Winners must each respond to their respective Notification by 31 March 2023 to receive the Prizes. The Prizes will be sent to the Winners within 30 days of the Winners responding to the Notification. If a Winner fails to respond to the Notification by 6 April 2023 the Promoter may, at its discretion, choose an alternative Winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.
2. The Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged and there is no cash alternative. The Prizes must be used before the expiry date stated on them and are not redeemable online. The Promoter shall have no liability or responsibility for failure to use the Prizes by their expiry dates.
3. The Promoter will not be responsible for entries which are lost or not received or which cannot be sent due to technical or service issues or any other reason.  Proof of submitting an entry will not be accepted as proof of receipt by the Promoter.
4. Except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, the Promoter will not be responsible for any costs, damage, liability, loss or injury resulting from entrants’ entry into the Competition.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason at its absolute discretion.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time, or to withdraw or modify the Competition altogether if circumstances require.
7. The Promoter’s decision is final in connection with all matters arising from this Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to use each Winner’s photo and/or details for promotional purposes. By entering the Competition, the Winner agrees to participate in publicity as reasonably requested surrounding the Competition.
9. Details of the Winner will be made available to the public on request by sending a self-addressed envelope to VIP 10th Birthday Photo Competition, Pets at Home prizes, Pets at Home, Marketing Department, Epsom Avenue, Stanley Green Trading Estate, Handforth, Cheshire, SK9 3RN.
10. By entering the Competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you when entering the Competition may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition.
11. The Competition is governed by the laws of England and in the event of any dispute the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
12. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the social media channel advertising this Competition. Eligible entrants understand and agree that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to the social media channel advertising this Competition. By entering this Competition, each eligible entrant releases social media channel advertising this Competition from any action or claim arising out of the Competition. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Competition must be directed to the Promoter, not the social media channel advertising this Competition.

Photo Use Terms and Conditions:

By entering the Competition and submitting your photograph, you are confirming the following:

1. I am sending you my photograph which I am happy for the Pets at Home Family (and its advertising, promotion and other agencies) to use in its advertising, marketing, publicity or promotional materials. I therefore grant you an irrevocable worldwide licence to the use my photo for these purposes.  
2. I am aged 18 or over. 
3. I am the owner of the photograph in the Entry and am able to grant this licence to use it.
4. I am giving permission on behalf of myself and my family, friends and others who are seen in the photograph and I confirm that they agree to this licence. Where anyone in the photograph is under the age of 18, I am the parent or legal guardian of that person and as such I have the right to agree to their image being used in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5. This permission covers all forms of use including without limit television, print, online (including without limit websites owned by Pets at Home Family, YouTube etc.), newspapers, magazines, digital and social media and all other forms of media now and in the future anywhere in the world.
6. I have not given permissions to any other user to use the photograph.
7. The Pets at Home Family will have the exclusive right to use the photograph.
8. The licence is irrevocable and the period of usage is unlimited.
9. The Pets at Home Family can adapt and alter the photograph.
10. Use of the photograph will not infringe any rights (such as intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or data protection) belonging to others.
11. The photograph is original and is not a copy of anyone else’s work.
12. I agree that this licence is royalty-free.
13. No animals have been ill-treated in the making of this photograph.
14. I hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold the Pets at Home Family harmless from and against any and all losses, and all claims by third parties, resulting from my breach of any of these terms and conditions.
15. The details I have submitted on the online form are true and correct.
16. If requested by Pets at Home Family, I will sign (and arrange for the others in the photograph to sign) any documents to confirm the above.
17. The Pets at Home Family may assign or sub-license the rights given by me to others.

Swipe to Win VIP10 competition February 2023

1. Pets at Home Ltd of Epsom Avenue, Stanley Green Trading Estate, Handforth, Cheshire SK9 3RN is the promoter (the “Promoter”) of Swipe to Win! Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”).

2. By submitting an entry entrants acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.

How to enter

3. Entrants must be UK residents and aged 18 years or over. Directors, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management and employees) of Pets at Home, Vets4Pets or Companion Care veterinary surgeries or the agencies or companies associated with this Prize Draw are not permitted to enter the Prize Draw.

4. Each time you make a purchase online linked to your VIP account, make a purchase instore and swipe your VIP card or use the groom room and swipe your VIP card you will automatically gain one entry into the prize draw for that week.

5. The weeks will run as follows:

Week 1 – 00:01 Wednesday 1^st February 2023 to 23:59 Tuesday 7^th February 2023

Week 2 – 00:01 Wednesday 8^th February 2023 to 23:59 Tuesday 14^th February 2023

Week 3 – 00:01 Wednesday 15^th February 2023 to 23:59 Tuesday 21^st February 2023

All entries must be received by 23:59 on 28^th February 2023 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the Prize Draw.

How will the winners be chosen?

7. 1004 winners in total, 251 winners per week (the “Winner”) will be selected at random by the Promoter from all valid entries received by the Closing Date each week.

10. The Prize is as described, cannot be exchanged and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value if it considers necessary.

11. The Winners will be notified by email on or after 1^st March 2023 and sent their prize to the postal address that they have provided. All entrants must ensure they provide a valid email address and their postal address used for entry. All vouchers will be supplied by email.

The Promoter

13. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the Prize Draw entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the Prize Draw.

15. If you are a Winner of the Prize Draw, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the Winner of this Prize Draw and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.

16. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no liability for any loss, expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with the Prize Draw and/or Prize, other than such liability that cannot be excluded by law including death or personal injury caused by negligence, where liability shall be limited to the minimum permissible by law.

17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries which are lost or not received or which cannot be sent due to technical or service issues or for any other reason.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time, or to withdraw the Prize Draw entirely in the event of circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.

19. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and in the event of any dispute the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
