Full Terms & Conditions
1. This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom, excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, Emirates, their respective agents and anyone professionally associated with this Promotion.
2. No purchase necessary; however, internet access and a valid email address or Facebook/ Instagram/ X account are required.
3. Promotion Period: Enter between 16:00 GMT on 19 January 2024 and 23:59 GMT on 24 January 2024 inclusive.
4. To Enter the Prize Draw: Entry by either method, Prize pool will be separated by Arsenal Members and Non-Members.
a. Entry Route 1: All UK Residents signed up to the Arsenal Supporters email database by 23:59 on 18 January 2024 will receive an email with a link. Click the link and complete the online form with your details (name, email address, date of birth and, if applicable, member ID) alongside the correct answer to the multiple-choice question to be entered into the relevant Arsenal Members or Non-Members Prize Draw.
b. Entry Route 2: Log onto your Facebook/ Instagram/ X account (or create one for free), find the @Arsenal Promotional Post featuring the Emirates International Break Competition, posted on 19/01/24, and click the link in the Post/ @Arsenal bio to be directed to the Promotion entry page. Complete the online form with your details (name, email address, date of birth and, if applicable, member ID) alongside the correct answer to the multiple-choice question to be entered into the relevant Arsenal Members or Non-Members Prize Draw.
5. Entry into the Main Prize Promotion: The 4 Prize Draw winners will be escorted to the pitch at half time to take part in an Emirates demonstration. Participants will choose a numbered Arsenal Shirt at random, each of which will correspond to a flare on the pitch. Emirates Cabin Crew will kick a football aligned to the number on the shirt. One football will ignite a red flare to determine the Main Prize winner.
6. Maximum of 1 entry is permitted per person into the Prize Draw during the Promotion Period. No person may win more than 1 Prize type.
7. The Prizes:
a. Prize Draw Prize: There will be a total of 4 Prize Draw winners, 2 from the Arsenal Members Prize pool and 2 from the Non-Members Prize pool. Each winner will win 1 x pair of Executive Box level match tickets for the men’s Arsenal v Liverpool match currently scheduled to take place on 4 February 2024 at 16:30 at Emirates Stadium, London (the “Match”) including:
i. Return group private transport from a central London location (Zone 1 or 2) to Emirates Stadium;
ii. Participation in the Match day activity to be in with the chance of winning the Main Prize; and
iii. Participation in Arsenal & Emirates content shoot on the Match day.
b. Main Prize: There will be 1 Main Prize winner. The winner will win 1 x 5 night trip to Dubai for the winner and a guest to be taken between 26 February 2024 and 27 March 2024, including:
i. Return Emirates economy class flights from a London based airport to Dubai; and
ii. 5 nights’ accommodation in a standard twin room at a 3* or 4* hotel, to be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion, including breakfast.
8. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
a. You are responsible for your behaviour and the behaviour of your guests whilst taking the Prize(s). The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude a winner and/or their guests from participation in any aspect of the Prize(s) if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize(s) or if you and/or your guests act in a manner that is dangerous to yourselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the event/venue.
b. You and your guest must abide by any relevant terms and conditions which form part of the Prize(s). Where applicable to the Prize(s) or parts of the Prize(s), Arsenal’s terms and conditions at www.arsenal.com/ticket-membership-terms and https://arsenaldirect.arsenal.com/termsAndConditions shall apply. Whilst at the event/venue, you must not: be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, underage, be abusive, threatening, make or incite racial abuse, chant, use offensive language, make obscene gestures, throw items, behave anti-socially, carry laser pens, bring animals (except guide dogs), carry offensive weapons or illegal substances, carry candles, climb any structure, make excessive noise, offer any item for sale, damage the venue or smoke. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the event/venue.
c. You and your guest must abide by any relevant terms and conditions set by the venue/s which form part of your Prize(s). It is your responsibility to ensure that you take care when moving around the event/venue.
d. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize(s) does not include travel/transportation, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the Prize(s) will be responsible for any such costs.
e. Prize Draw Prize:
i. Prize Draw Prize winners will receive their tickets via email.
ii. Tickets include Executive Box seats and hospitality, consisting of a pre-match meal and drinks alongside post-match refreshments.
iii. The Promoter may request the winners participate in reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the Prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter, Emirates and their selected media partners using their name and images in promotional material. The winners are under no obligation to participate and may decline this request. Participation is at the winners’ discretion and is not a condition of Prize acceptance.
iv. By entering this promotion, the winners grant the Promoter, Emirates and their selected media partners the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use, publish, publicly display, perform, transmit, exhibit and reproduce their name, statements, video, voice, recordings, interviews, photographs or other visual or audible representations or likeness, in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other material, including without limitation, text, photographs or images in any medium (whether now known or hereafter invented) including, but not limited to the internet and other electronic and social media and for any and all purposes, publicity, promotion, packaging and trade throughout the world without restriction as to manner, frequency or duration of use or any other purpose whatsoever in connection with this Promotion or in connection with the marketing of the products of the Promoter, or otherwise. The winners further agree that all materials produced pursuant to the rights set out above shall and will remain the property of the Promoter.
v. Dates of matches are subject to change (e.g. if televised match, schedule may dictate). There is a minimum attendee age of 18 years.
vi. Entry to Emirates Stadium is subject to the Home Match Ticket Term and Conditions and Terms and Conditions of Entry to the Stadium. The Promoter shall not be liable if you or any person accompanying you is refused entry because you do not meet these conditions.
vii. Winners will be subject to a name check against any football club, venue or sporting Banning Orders as well as the National Police Database for those who may be subject to a court banning order. The Club will check winners’ name and their guests.
viii. If the Promoter decides, the potential winners and/or any guests may be required to submit to a confidential background check or to provide suitable information to answer questions to confirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the promotion as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion. This will include all relevant banning orders or related incidents regarding the winner and/or any guest at any venue as required by the government, the police or relevant law enforcement agencies or organisations. Part of this process may also include questions during the claim process and a review of personal information sourced from data available in the public domain.
ix. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any potential winner and/or guest on the basis of the findings resulting from a background or information check and award the tickets to an alternative winner.
x. Those who are on a football banning order, banned from any sports events or on a list of known “hooligans” are not allowed to enter this Promotion or win a Prize.
xi. All tickets issued shall be subject at all times to the terms and conditions available at the Arsenal website under Box Level Terms and Conditions on www.arsenal.com/ticket-membership-terms. The use of a ticket to enter the Stadium constitutes acceptance of the Home Match Day Ticket Terms and Conditions and the Terms and Conditions of Entry. The ticket shall remain at all times the property of Arsenal Football Club.
xii. Arsenal Football Club shall have the absolute right to refuse entry to any person who does not adhere to their terms, checks and requirements, regardless of possession of a valid ticket.
f. Main Prize:
i. Guest must be aged 18+.
ii. The holiday must be taken between 26 February 2024 and 27 March 2024.
iii. The winner will be contacted by the Promoter to arrange flight registration at point of Main Prize Winner Notification.
iv. Transfers to and from the winner’s home to the airport and hotel are not included.
v. The winner and their guest must travel together in both directions.
vi. Once tickets have been issued, they are only valid for flights, dates and times shown. No alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight once confirmed are not permitted.
vii. Airline seats are subject to availability.
viii. Check-in luggage may not be included in your flight ticket.
ix. The winner and their guest must abide by and are subject to the Airline’s published Conditions of Carriage.
x. Travel must be taken at the stated times; no alternatives are available. Name changes to the flight seats once confirmed are not permitted.
xi. Lounge passes and upgrades are not permitted. Flights cannot be used in conjunction with the Promoter's/any loyalty programme, any other discount, discount coupon(s) or voucher(s), promotion(s) or special offer.
xii. All elements of the Prize package must be taken as part of the same trip.
xiii. The winner and their guest will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or travel insurance are the responsibility of the winner and their guest. In the event the winner or their guest are unable to travel due to visa or other personal circumstances, no alternative tickets will be issued, and no compensation or other prize will be provided.
xiv. The Prize will be forfeited if:
1. the winner has not obtained all of the proper travel documents by the date specified by the Promoter;
2. the winner has any immigration complications which prevent them from entering, leaving or travelling within the UK; or
3. the winner has any medical, legal or any other reason that would prevent you from accepting and participating in the Prize.
xv. It will be the winner’s and their guest's responsibility to take out at their own cost all relevant insurance (including but not limited to health and travel insurance, insurance for theft, loss and damage to property) which may be required or prudent to be taken.
xvi. The Promoter will pay the cost of the standard room plus related room taxes.
xvii. A valid credit or debit card will be required to check in to your room and will be used to guarantee any incidentals such as in- room calls or services.
xviii. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the hotel during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes.
xix. The winner must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs.
9. Prize Draw Winner Selection: 2 provisional winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries received from Arsenal Members during the Promotion Period. 2 provisional winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries received from Non-Members during the Promotion Period. For your total confidence, the Prize Draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, within 1 working day of the end of the Promotion Period.
10. Prize Draw Winner Notification: Provisional winners will be contacted via the email address provided on entry within 1 working day of Winner Selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility and to sign a winner waiver. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the provisional winners. Once eligibility has been confirmed, the provisional winners will be confirmed as winners. If a provisional winner does not respond to the initial contact within 2 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.
11. Main Prize Winner Selection: Prize Draw winners will be escorted to the pitch on the Match day to take part in an Emirates demonstration during half time. Participants will be allocated a numbered Arsenal Shirt at random, each of which will correspond to a flare on the pitch. This will be overseen by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service. Emirates Cabin Crew will kick a football aligned to the number on the shirt. One football will ignite a red flare to determine the Main Prize winner.
12. Main Prize Winner Notification: The Main Prize winner will immediately be confirmed on the pitch at half time and will subsequently receive an email within 5 working days confirming the Prize.
13. Prize Acceptance:
a. Finalist: Notification to arrange fulfilment of the Prizes will take place within 4 days of acceptance of the Prizes. In the unlikely event that a winner has not received communication to arrange their Prize, the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing fanservices@arsenal.co.uk. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at its sole discretion.
b. Main Prize: Notification to arrange fulfilment of the Prizes will take place within 5 days of acceptance of the Prizes. In the unlikely event that a winner has not received communication to arrange their Prize the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing fanservices@arsenal.co.uk. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the Prize or limit its value at its sole discretion.
14. Moderation: The Promoter reserves the right to reject entries which, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter:
a. are in breach of the Terms & Conditions;
b. contain any content that is offensive, harmful, objectionable or which is otherwise unsuitable for publication including with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, or which could reflect negatively upon the name, reputation or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
c. contains or refers to any unauthorised third-party brand or reference any third-party names, logos and/or trademarks;
d. promotes any political agenda.
15. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by the Promoter 4 weeks after the close of the Promotion Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be available by sending a request via email to fanservices@arsenal.co.uk. The winners can object to their details being published during the Winner Notification process. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority when requested by them.
16. The Promoter may request that the winners participate in publicity arising from the Promotion. Participation is at the winners’ discretion and is not a condition of Prize Acceptance.
17. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entry (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:
a. Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it consider reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.
b. Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion.
c. Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.
d. Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.
e. Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.
f. Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.
g. Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.
h. Cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.
18. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason a Prize and/or any element of a Prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize or element of the Prize for another of equal or greater value.
19. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to www.arsenal.com/news/win-match-tickets-and-fly-dubai-emirates, Facebook, Instagram or X.
20. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or X. By entering you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook, Instagram or X, and Facebook, Instagram and X are not responsible for any element of this Promotion.
21. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion (JS14441) or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
22. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
23. All personal data supplied for this Promotion will be used for the purpose of this Promotion and for research and analytical purposes by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at: www.arsenal.com/privacy-policy.
24. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
25. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
26. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
27. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
