Wreaths of Hope Event Rules
2020

General Description: Wreaths of Hope is a fundraising decorating competition held at Boyd Gaming properties across the country wherein local non-profits are invited to decorate Holiday wreaths. The decorations can represent the charity’s mission and/or simply be decorated to be the best aesthetically looking wreath.

The sponsoring organization’s role and only financial responsibility will be to decorate a wreath, provided by Sam’s Town, to the best of their ability. Sam’s Town guests’ votes will determine the winners. Guests can vote online and on-property (one vote per person per day). All the Wreaths of Hope participants will be awarded $75 for the charity of their choice and the top three wreaths will be awarded as follows:

First Place-$3,000

Second Place- $1,500

Third Place- $750

Promotion Time:

Voting starts Friday, Nov. 27 at 8am CST. Voting ends Thursday, Dec. 17 at 11:59pm CST. Date for check presentation ceremony is Friday, December 18^th at 6pm. Attendance at the check presentation is not required.

Summary of Relevant Rule(s) and Disclaimer(s):

Subject to regulations, change or cancellation.

Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

Charities must be 501(C)3 registered. Documentation for the charity receiving the donation must be on file to participate. Documentation must be submitted or on file at the time of sign up for the competition.

Competitors are not allowed to use decorations that will permanently alter the wreaths (spay snow, paint, etc.)

Wreaths will be assigned based on the time sponsors/charities arrive November 13,2020- November 25, 2020.

Decorating begins Wednesday, November 18^th at 8am. Wreaths must be decorated by 5pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Each wreath will be numbered.

Guests can vote online and on property. Guests can vote once per day online and on-property. Social media votes, in combination with on-property guest votes, will determine the winners. Guests may also visit https://www.boydgaming.com/wreaths-of-hope-2020 for their favorite charity’s wreath on Boyd Gaming Corporation social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn). To vote, visit https://www.boydgaming.com/wreaths-of-hope-2020.Click your favorite charity wreath to vote for it. Voting is limited to one vote per person, per day during the contest.

Property Ballots are available at the Security Podium on the skywalk. Indicate your favorite wreath by the assigned number on the ballot. Ballot box will be located on the skywalk by the security podium.

Decoration removal and takedown begins on January 4, 2021 at 8am. Sam’s Town is not responsible for any decorations left on the wreaths after 8 pm January 7, 2021.

Falsification of any information will result in ineligibility.

Sam’s Town property level Marketing Officials will resolve all disputes.

Each entrant and winner shall indemnify and hold harmless Boyd Gaming Corporation, and any of its properties, against any damage, loss, claim or liability arising from his or her participation in this promotion. Boyd Gaming assumes no liability of any kind for any property loss or damage or personal injury occurring in connection with any prizes.

All winners agree to grant Boyd Gaming unconditional use of their name and likeness for promotional use without compensation, consideration, notice, review, or consent. As a condition of the redemption of any prize in this Promotion, each winner further agrees to execute an affidavit of eligibility, a publicity release and a liability release, in the form provided by Boyd Gaming.

If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes within or beyond the control of Boyd which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, Boyd reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage or manipulate any program or equipment to undermine the legitimate operation of this competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Boyd reserves the right to seek recourse against any such person to the fullest extent of the law.

By participation, entrants agree to abide by all official rules. Failure to comply with the rules of this competition may result in disqualification.

Sam’s Town will not be responsible for the loss, theft, mutilation, or illegibility of any part of any coupon.

Employees of Boyd Gaming are ineligible to vote in this competition.

Entries will be retained for record-keeping purposes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

Persons who have been evicted from the property or who have requested self-exclusion from the property are not eligible to participate in the promotion.

Sam’s Town may add rules to address questions and issues as they arise. Any changes of rules will be posted.

The interpretations of rules, eligibility, etc. are the sole discretion of Sam’s Town and all decisions are final.

Sam’s Town reserves the right to modify or cancel this competition at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
