Wreaths or Wreaths of Hope
2024
General Description: Wreaths of Hope is a friendly Wreath decorating competition for charity. The sponsoring organization’s role and only financial responsibility will be to decorate a Wreath, provided by Sam’s Town, to the best of their ability. Once decorating is complete, Sam’s Town guests vote on their favorite Wreath (one vote per person per day). All the Wreaths of Hope participants will be awarded a participation prize, and the top three winners Wreaths will be awarded prize amounts.
Promotion Time:
8 a.m. November 19, 2024 – Wreath Decoration Begins
6 p.m. November 21, 2024 – Wreath Decoration Ends
8 a.m. November 25, 2024 – Paper & Kiosk Voting Begins
6p.m. December 19, 2024 -Voting Ends
5 p.m. December 20,2024 - Awards ceremony at Sam’s Town Live
8 a.m. December 26, 2024 – Decoration Removal and Takedown Begins*
8 p.m. December 28, 2024 - Decoration Removal and Takedown Ends*
*Wreaths will be removed and placed in the banquet spaces. Please arrange for pickup from there.
Summary of Relevant Rule(s) and Disclaimer(s):
- Subject to regulations, change or cancellation.
- Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
- Charities must be 501(C)3 registered. Documentation for the charity receiving the donation must be on file to participate. Documentation must be submitted or on file at the time of sign up for the competition.
- Competitors are not allowed to use decorations that will permanently alter the Wreath (spay snow, paint, etc.)
- Wreaths will be assigned based on the time sponsors/charities arrive November 14, 2024- November 17, 2024.
- Sam’s Town is not responsible for any injury of person or organization decorations that have been broken/removed during the length of the fundraising promotion (including setup and tear down). Also to remind you that ladders will need to be provided by organization and cannot be provided by the property.
- Paper ballots will have one blank to vote on favorite Wreath.
- Kiosk and Online voting will also be available with one vote per person, per day.
- The Wreath with the most votes receives first place, second most votes receive second place money, and third highest total receives third place money. All participants will receive money for their charities.
- If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes within or beyond the control of Boyd which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, Boyd reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
- Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage or manipulate any program or equipment to undermine the legitimate operation of this competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made; Boyd reserves the right to seek recourse against any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
- By participation, entrants agree to abide by all official rules. Failure to comply with the rules of this competition may result in disqualification.
- Employees of Boyd Gaming are ineligible to vote in this competition.
- Sam’s Town may add rules to address questions and issues as they arise. Any changes of rules will be posted.
- The interpretations of rules, eligibility, etc. are the sole discretion of Sam’s Town and all decisions are final.
- Sam’s Town reserves the right to modify or cancel this competition at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
- Sam’s Town is not responsible for any decorations left on the Wreaths after 8 p.m. December 28, 2024.
