Criteria for submission
The nomination should clearly explain the outstanding professional and or service contributions that the individual has made to their community and in particular, how the individual is making a difference in the lives of those who reside in Manitoba. Special attention should be paid to describing what future successes and or dreams are on the horizon for this individual.

Selection Process
Nominations are reviewed and rated against criteria determined by CBC. The judging panel is composed of CBC Manitoba editorial and communications staff. Award recipients are selected with special consideration of equity by region, diversity and gender as well as age and experience. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 40 years of age or under as of October 1, 2020
  • Reside in Manitoba for a minimum of 1 year with proof of official residence in Manitoba.
  • May not hold public office.
  • Must answer trivia question about CBC Manitoba programming.


  • Judging Panel
    Finalists will be selected by an internal judging panel (“Judging Panel”) as indicated in the rules and regulations and will review all eligible entries received during the Contest Period and select 40 winners who represent a cross-section of who they deem to represent the criteria for submission as outlined in the rules and regulations.
